Whispered interpreting

In whispered interpreting, the interpreter listens the speaker who speaks in one language and “whispers” in the ear of one, at the most two, clients in another language. The clients are usually part of the audience in a meeting, conference or court, and it is used exactly because the number of clients requiring interpreting is so small (1 or 2).

Similarly to Consecutive Interpreting, Whisper Interpreting has the benefit that it does not require any technical equipment nor the relevant personnel.

However, as regards this type of interpreting, the disturbance caused in the room by the interpreter (although she/he may whisper) and the poor sound quality for both the interpreter and the client, must be taken into consideration.

At Lectio Translations we have both the experience and the expertise to recommend the most cost-efficient type of interpreting for your individual needs.

Trust us! We are eager to cover your needs in translations, interpreting and multimedia services.
